Kim’s Confections story

I got my love of baking from my mom, a cake decorator, and my Southern Grandmother Jesse. There were always fresh baked treats around the house to the joy of my friends and Nana and I would bake pies when she came to visit. When I got married and a home of my own, I became more and more interested in the science of baking. I experimented with bread, pastries and eventually cookie decorating and realized with custom cookies, they fulfilled my love of baking and artsy side.

After decorating cookies for a few years for friends and family, I decided to take the plunge and make it a profession. In 2016, Kim’s Confections became a full-fledged business and what a ride! I have steadily built my reputation and am constantly educating myself in the cookie arts by attending CookieCon and taking various classes from fellow Cookie Artists (or Cookiers as we like to call ourselves). My cookies have been enjoyed by various Las Vegas Raider players, actress Zoe Deschanel and magician & TV star Michael Carbonaro (of The Carbonara Effect) to name a few. They have been seen on HGTV’s The Property Brothers, Today Show, People Magazine and E! Entertainment. Not one to be satisfied just with custom orders, I am now adding cookie decorating classes for all skill levels!
