Minimum Order Size

The minimum order size for cookies is 2 dozen and 4 dozen for petite.  I sometimes offer no-minimum orders but those are typically holiday cookies/box sets.

How much do you charge?

Pricing is contingent upon size of cookie, intricacy of the design, number of colors each cookie requires and techniques/products used.  My detailed price chart (separate attachment) breaks that down for you.

Why do you charge that much?

A very valid question.  To complete just the decorating on a dozen cookies can take hours/days - and that doesn't include making the dough, rolling the dough, cutting the shapes, preparing the icing, coloring the icing or cleaning up the mess that I make afterwards.  Making sugar cookies is very time consuming and your order is customized to your theme.  Also, I use only premium ingredients which cost more. 

Do you offer Edible Printing?  Is it a cheaper option?

Yes, I now offer Edible printing (please see Detailed Price Chart for pricing)but pricing depends on design.  Edible printing i.e. backgrounds, logos, pictures etc., still takes time to design/purchase, research images and format to cookie shape.  It’s also a large investment and the edible color cartridges are not cheap. 

Do you accommodate large orders?  And is there a discount for large orders? 

I can accommodate large orders though it depends on what other orders I may already have. Orders of 4 dozen (48) or more will require a 2-week notice.  I do not offer discounts as the highest cost in cookie decorating is the time and energy I put into the cookies.

What designs can you do and do you do characters?

 I can do pretty much any design/style, but will be honest about my capabilities.  I do some characters, but not all.  If you are wanting a certain character that I do not do, I can do a cookie in the theme-style of that character. 

How many design elements can I choose?

For Standard size and larger, orders 2 dozen to under 4 dozen, up to 4 designs.  And for orders 4 dozen or more, up to 6 designs. 

For Petite size, orders 4 dozen to under 8 dozen, up to 4 designs.  And for orders 8 dozen or more, up to 6 designs. 

How much notice do you need? Do you charge a rush fee?

It takes anywhere from 3-5 days to complete a cookie order, depending on size and difficulty. Please provide over 2 weeks notice before your event. Large orders or designs I do not currently have, require 4 weeks. I am booking up very quickly these days, so the best answer is order as soon as you know. If you order with less than 1 week notice, I charge a 25% fee and if you order with 2 weeks to 1 week notice, I charge a 20% fee.

Payment Method

You can pay with cash, Venmo or Square (invoice will be sent via email).  A 50% non-refundable deposit is due within 24 hours upon booking.  Your order does not go on the calendar until deposit is made and if not made within 24 hours, that spot can go to the next inquiry.  The balance is due 14 days before completion of order.  If balance is not paid by deadline, order will be cancelled and deposit forfeited.  If it is necessary for customer to cancel, the deposit/balance can be transferred to a future order or decorating class within 1 year.  If not used in that timespan, payment will be forfeited.

Pickup/Delivery/Shipping

I am unable to offer shipping, as I’m a Cottage maker. Pick-up is preferred but I do offer delivery (depending on availability). Pickup days are Thursday and Friday as I work Monday through Friday. Saturdays are delivery only (depending on availability). If you are coming from out of town, I highly recommend you schedule delivery as I am located 30+ minutes out from the strip. Delivery is $15 for the first 10 miles from our location, Las Vegas, 89143. Additional miles will be charged at the rate of $2.50 per mile. I can deliver to casinos or hotels for a flat fee of $30, but I do not enter the hotel. Best area is to the valet area, and please have someone present to receive and sign for order. After you receive your order, it is your responsibility to provide a secure environment to ensure the safety of the products you ordered. I am not responsible for any damages that may occur.

Packaging

Cookies are packaged in individual bags, heat sealed for freshness and boxed for pickup.  This is included in the individual cookie price.

Do I have to refrigerate my cookies?

No, heat sealed cookies can stay fresh for 2-3 weeks.  But you do need to keep them out of the heat because that can cause butter bleed (dark spots in the icing) or smearing of airbrush details.  If you would like to preserve them for a longer period, place the bagged cookies in a an airtight container in your freezer up to 3 months.  To defrost, remove airtight container and place on counter.  Cookies should be defrosted within a couple hours.

What kind of icing do you use?

I use royal icing, made from a meringue powder flavored with a vanilla emulsion.  

Do you have a cookie cutter for …?

Most likely, but if I don’t, I may be able to acquire one.  This type of order will need at least an additional week's notice and an extra charge may apply for shapes that I may not be able to use again. I do work with businesses that provide custom cutters and stencils, but artwork must be provided by customer.

Changing an Order

Changes to cookie designs, quantities, or dates are done solely at my discretion and depend on my ability to accommodate the request.

Refunds and Returns

In the event you are not satisfied with the order, uneaten cookies must be returned within 3 days to assess their condition and decide on a resolution.  Credit card purchases will be refunded to the credit card account used for the purchase minus processing fees.

Allergen Information:

All cookies contain eggs and wheat and there are nuts in my kitchen.  I do not offer gluten free, sugar free, dairy free etc, cookies.  Contact me for further information on ingredients.
